Balloons, Bubbles, and Frosted Fun!

Peyton and I had a "girl's weekend" the last couple of days while Rob was out of town. We had a great time together running errands and playing all weekend. It continues to amaze me how much of a little girl and less like a baby she is these days. She is copying everything we say, with some of her favorite phrases being "oh wow", "alriiiight", "oh no", "yeeeaahh", and "hold meeeee". She also melts my heart when she says "nuggle" and reaches both her little arms around my neck for a hug. Any worry or stress I may have immediately melts away when she does that.

On Saturday, we went to sweet Lilly's balloon-themed 2nd birthday party and had a lot of fun! It was great to spend time with friends outside on a perfect afternoon. Lilly looked absolutely precious in her pink tutu and matching hair bow. It seems like just yesterday that we met her in the hospital when she was born. I can't believe all of these little girls are turning two already!!

The big hit for Peyton was the bubble machine. She was OBSESSED. She probably would have stayed out there for an hour or two more just chasing bubbles and watching them float to the ground.

After all of the bubble fun, of course it was time for cupcakes! Auntie Cara always makes the best cupcakes, and this birthday was no exception. Peyton all but dove into hers, and quickly covered both her face (and mine) with frosting. After a couple of "more, more, more's" we decided to hang up the cupcake eating and get back to the bubbles. All in all, we had a great time and were so happy to be there for Lilly's big day.

Thanks for all of the birthday fun Lilly!!
