A Teddy Bear Picnic

This past Sunday, our sweet little girl turned two years old! We celebrated with family and close friends, with plenty of cupcakes to share along the way. My best friend Cara was able to come visit for the weekend as well and helped me a great deal with the party preparations. We shared a lot of great laughs while frosting cupcakes, making fruit kabobs, running errands, and spending time throughout the weekend.

We started off Friday by bringing cupcakes to Peyton's daycare. I decided on making ice cream cone cupcakes with Funfetti cake batter. If you've never seen these before, they are extremely easy to make and fun for kids to eat. Once we started frosting them, we realized they may not be as easy to transport. One piece of cardboard and a few holes later, we had a very rough looking "serving tray" for our cones.

Peyton, of course, was a big fan.

On Saturday, we had a Teddy Bear Picnic party at Tom Brown Park. It was truly a great day. We dressed Peyton in her new teddy bear birthday shirt, which our friend Janay from church made, sent Rob to the park early to reserve a pavilion, and we were on our way. Here are some pictures from the day:

Sunday morning, we suprised Peyton with her brand-new kitchen! She immediately dove right in, and I am now experiencing the fun of finding random plastic food all over the house. Auntie Cara bought Peyton a fun shopping cart too!

Thanks to all of those who helped us celebrate this very special day! We love you!
