The May Highlight Reel

Well, it's certainly been awhile since I last posted.  Work has been so busy this month that I haven't wanted to touch my own computer at home with a ten foot pole.  May has come and almost gone, but overall it was a month filled with good times. We made it to the beach a couple of weekends, celebrated birthdays and an anniversary, got together with good friends, and squeezed in a couple of date nights too!

The following pictures make me both smile and laugh. Our friends Tracy and Raymond had a few people over at their house toward the beginning of the month, and what started out as a simple cookout eventually escalated into a full out toddler dance party.  I'm talking spins, twirls, the occasional crash, and Peyton even snuck in a summersault when it felt right.  Peyton, Audrey, and Kate are precious together, even when dancing to the 90's song "I'm a Loser Baby".

A little step-clap-step-clap action.

I'm up waaay past my bedtime!

We also joined a few friends in Destin to celebrate some birthdays. I was fully craving this "mini-cation" and spent the entire week before counting down and sending Rob e-mail pictures of the ocean. Peyton stayed at Sweetie and Pop's house and we headed to the shore.  Despite severe thunderstorms the first night we were there, the rest of our stay was wonderful! We spent all of Saturday soaking in the sun, swimming in the pool, and dabbling in some outlet shopping before we returned later that night. Aside from missing our little lady, it is always so hard for me to leave the beach.  I could live there easily!

My favorite type of therapy.

The birthday boy was pumped for some crab.

The parents-to-be enjoyed their pre-baby beach trip too.

Only a handful of work days left before my summer begins.  I can't wait to spend more time with Peyton; she is growing so fast! I have plans for pool days, play dates, parks, and picnics, not to mention, the Mullinax Potty-Training Bootcamp will soon begin as well... haha, yeah, we'll see how that goes.

Pretty sure Mrs. Potato Head is asking for prayers on that last one.
